Our design team’s inspiration comes from the global fashion trends in furniture as well as the history of furniture itself, from Far Eastern to Western Europe… to Museums, Antique Dealers and Auction Houses seeking out ideas for unique and exotic furniture and accessories.

The Planning

As always, our work starts by talking to the company’s owner to make sure we have all the details we need to take the best approach to the website design. After talking to the product designers at Tulip Interior, we discovered that their main strength was the attention to detail on all their products. So, we knew we had to use this concept.

Our Role

Tulip Interior wanted their website redesigned using the Magento platform. And they had some very specific ideas about some of the elements that they wanted to include on the website. These included a mega menu, a great navigation, and the integration with a 3rd party supplier inventory system.

We wanted to make sure that we were able to give each product a prominent place integrated with some key selling points. So, we made sure that visitors would be able to browse Tulip Interior products by occasion (like kitchens or bedrooms, for example) as well as by color.

One of our main goals is to always deliver a beautifully designed website with an amazing user experience. After all, when visitors are able to access all the information or products they are looking for with a single click, you can be sure they will come back again and again.

We also took care of the SEO and copywriting of the entire website, as well as we made printing available for the color guide.

Tulip Interior also told us about their delivery periods and we made sure that every customer could be able to choose their preferred delivery time. This was integrated with PayPal Express.

The Challenge

One of the main challenges that we had was the huge amount of furniture that Tulip Interior has for sale. As experienced website designers, we know that people want and need to be able to find everything they are looking for immediately. So, with this in mind, we implemented Sphinx, an advanced search function that also includes text prediction.

Engaging Content

We believe that a website like Tulip Interior should have a blog where they could be in touch with their customers not only to share some of their recent news as well as to keep them up-to-date with their latest furniture collections. To make sure that we got the best engagement, we also use Twitter and Pinterest.
