The Planning

Limitless Base turned to Explore Webstore to create a new ecommerce website to promote their high-quality products. The client pinpointed that the site needed to be designed in the uniform branded style of Limitless Base and be cohesive with other sites of the company. One of the main requirements of the client was the creation of a fully mobile responsive store allowing online shoppers to browse the website and checkout on any mobile device as well as desktop computers. Along with this, Explore Webstore requested several additional functions to enhance backend order and shipping processes.

Our Solution

Our team of designers worked in close cooperation with Limitless Base to create custom layout adapted for the specifics of their business and the existing online presence. We chose a clean design concept with a lot of white in a colour scheme, enhanced with green brand colour to create highlights and call to actions.

After the approval of the store concept by the client, our Magento development team proceeded to coding the site and introducing the necessary modifications to the standard Magento system. One of such improvements was the integration with delivery services such as Royal Mail and FedEx for shipping orders to the Limitless Base customers.

We also added Magmi module allowing users to import and export products via CSV files. Through this innovation, we were able to provide customers with the opportunity to quickly and conveniently update the product catalogue.

Also, to make this ecommerce store more secure, we connected it to SSL.

To attract the attention of average shoppers to the products offered by Limitless Base, we strategically placed lifestyle imagery throughout the site and provided headsets with links to the corresponding product categories such as Home, Kitchen & Bedroom, etc. To ensure a better product search capabilities on the site, we created a Profiling and Compatibility function. It offers customers to answer a series of questions and by the results of the survey, it demonstrates the relevant products.

As Limitless Base offers a significant amount of products, the creation of the store required a large data input. Also, the client requested that the shoppers are able to make payments through SagePay. Finally, we had to create a multifunctional slideshow to make it easier for customers to find the products they look for.

As the result, we developed a fully adaptable website with modern design to ensure a perfect user experience for shoppers who browse the store and make purchases using cell phones and tablets. The responsive layout performs well on multiple mobile devices. We conducted tests using more than 30 mobile phones and tablets of various models as well as 20 simulators and confirmed the stable good performance of the website regardless of the device on which it was viewed.
